East Riding Music Hub Summer School etc

For 5 years we have worked with the East Riding Music Education Hub delivering our Summer School etc projects at their Hexagon Centre base.

With a cap of 30 participants due to the size of the hall, these projects are small but perfectly formed.

Past projects have included Bugsy Malone, High School Musical Jr, Annie Jr and Fame Jr and we’re busy choosing the 2019 show right now!

It is a great opportunity for the Music Hub to offer something extra to their current participants and bring in some extras who might not engage with other lessons or projects.

Whenever we run a Summer School etc project we don’t know who we’re going to get. Often, we’ve not met participants before – unless, of course, they’re returning from previous years.

We love working with Music Education Hubs during term time, but we can also offer projects during the holidays to complement your offer. If you’d like to find out more, get in touch!

“In our first Summer School etc project with the East Riding Music Hub, Sam was conducting the band during the show and noticed a couple of times some talking and fussing behind him. At the end of the show it became apparent that a girl who we had cast in a leading role, who had more solos to sing than almost anyone in the show, had a large contingent of family in watching – as is often the case. The difference, it turned out, was that they had never heard her sing. She was a secondary school student with much talent and potential. She started singing lessons with the Music Service when term restarted and went from strength to strength.(And she came back!)”
